Privacy Policy

HUMAX Networks (hereinafter referred to as “HUMAX Networks” or the “Company”) establishes and discloses the following personal information handling guidelines to protect members’ personal information and to handle related grievances quickly and smoothly:

Article 1 (Purpose of Collecting Personal Information)

We collect personal information from members for the following purpose:
  • Customer Support
    Collect personal information to contact customers again when they request customer support from HUMAX Networks.

Article 2 (Personal Information Items to Be Collected, Collection Methods, and Use Period)

① We collect, use, and retain personal information as follows:

Article 3 (Rights of Information Subjects․Obligations and Methods of Exercising Rights)

① Members may exercise the following rights related to personal information protection from the Company at any time:

  • Request for viewing personal information;
  • Request for correction when there are errors;
  • Request for deletion;
  • Request for stopping processing personal information.

② The exercise of the rights pursuant to Paragraph 1 may be made to the Company in writing, by phone, email, fax, etc., and the Company will take actions without any delay.

③ If a member requests the correction or deletion of errors in their personal information, the Company will not use or provide the personal information until the correction or deletion is completed.

④ The exercise of rights pursuant to Paragraph 1 may be performed through an agent, such as a legal representative of the information subject or a delegated person. However, the delegate shall submit a power of attorney to the Company.

⑤ Any member shall not infringe the personal information and privacy of the information subject or others processed by the Company in violation of related laws and regulations.

Article 4 (Destruction of Personal Information)

① The Company destroys the personal information without any delay when personal information becomes unnecessary due to the expiration of the personal information retention period or achievement of the purpose of processing personal information.

② If a personal information needs to be kept according to other laws and regulations even though the personal information retention period agreed to by the member has elapsed or the purpose of processing personal information has been achieved, the Company moves the personal information to a separate database (DB) or changes the storage location to keep it.

③ The procedures and methods of destroying personal information are as follows:

  • Destruction procedure

    The Company selects the personal information for which a reason for destruction has occurred, and destroys the personal information after obtaining the approval of the privacy officer.

  • Destruction method

    The Company destroys any personal information recorded and stored in electronic file format using a method, such as low-level format, so that the personal information cannot be reproduced, and destroys any personal information recorded and stored in paper documents by shredding or incinerating them.

Article 5 (Measures to Ensure the Safety of Personal Information)
The Company is taking the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information:

① Administrative measures: Establish and implement an internal management plan and conduct regular employee training, etc.

② Technical measures: Management of access rights for the personal information processing system, installation of an access control system, encryption of unique identification information, and installation of a security program

Article 6 (Matters on Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices)

① The Company uses cookies to store and retrieve usage information from time to time to provide users with customized services.

② A cookie is a small amount of information that the server (http) uses to operate a website; it is sent to the user's computer browser and is often stored on the hard disk of the user's PC.

  • Purpose of using cookies: Cookies are used to provide optimized information to a user by identifying the types of visits, usage of each service, websites visited by the user, popular search terms, and secure access.
  • Installation, operation, and rejection of cookies: Any member can refuse to save cookies by setting the options in the Personal Information menu (Tools > Internet Options > Personal Information) at the top of the web browser.
  • If a member refuses to store cookies, the member may experience difficulties while using customized services and some functions of the website.

Article 7 (Privacy Officer)

① The Company has designated the privacy officer to be responsible for the handling of personal information and to handle complaints and damage relief related to processing personal information for information subjects.

Article 9 (Change of Privacy Policy)

① This privacy policy will be applied from May 1, 2022.
