HUMAX Networks has joined the 'Science Based Targets initiative' (SBTi) to participate to global efforts to address climate change and to drive sustainable business growth.
SBTi is a global alliance established in 2015 by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), World Resources Institute (WRI), and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It provides companies with guidance on reducing greenhouse gas emissions to align with the goals of the Paris Agreement, which aims to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C. SBTi also handles the verification and approval of these targets. Currently, around 8,800 companies worldwide have committed to the SBTi, including 68 companies in South Korea, of which 18 are small and medium-sized enterprises.
HUMAX Networks will set ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets in line with the 1.5°C goal according to SBTi guidelines and submit an implementation plan within two years. We will continue to realize sustainable management until the day we receive approval for our Net-Zero goal aimed at carbon neutrality by implementing this plan.
